The Press Secretary of the President's Office (Zuhair) has openly challenged the system of Hadhdh (canning Fornicating men and women) in Islamic Sharia and the Maldivian Law. This could be interpreted as a challenge to Allah and a challenge to Islam.

Qur'an (6:93) - "Who can be more wicked than one who inventeth a lie against Allah?"

Qur'an (33:57) - "Lo! those who malign Allah and His messenger, Allah hath cursed them in this world and the Hereafter, and hath prepared for them the doom of the disdained"

What next, one wonders? Would we soon hear Zuhair or som e other misguided bureaucrat openly asking for the construction of temples in the Maldives?

Bukhari (84:64-65) - "Allah's Apostle: 'During the last days there will appear some young foolish people who will say the best words but their faith will not go beyond their throats (i.e. they will have no faith) and will go out from (leave) their religion as an arrow goes out of the game. So, wherever you find them, kill them, for whoever kills them shall have reward on the Day of

Resurrection.'"

I supported MDP and Anni (Nasheed) and I continue to do so, but these sort of statments from stupid and mis-informed bureaucrats such as Zuhair is exposing the shortcomings of the government. I wonder where all the Islam-loving people of thi s country are.

Qur'an (3:28) - "Let not the believers Take for friends or helpers Unbelievers rather than believers: if any do that, in nothing will there be help from Allah: except by way of precaution, that ye may Guard yourselves from them. But Allah cautions you (To remember) Himself; for the final goal is to Allah."

Bukhari (53:392) - While we were in the Mosque, the Prophet came out and said, "Let us go to the Jews."

We went out till we reached Bait-ul-Midras. He said to them, "If yo

u embrace Islam, you will be safe. You should know that the earth belongs to Allah and His Apostle, and I want to expel you from this land. So, if anyone amongst you owns some property, he is permitted to sell it, otherwise you should know that the Earth belongs to Allah and His Apostle."

Qur'an (9:14) - "Fight them, Allah will punish them by your hands and bring them to disgrace..."

Qur'an (61:4) - "Surely Allah loves those who fight in His way"

Qur'an (61:10-12) - "O ye who believe! Shall I lead you to a bargain that will save you from a grievous Penalty?- That ye believe in Allah and His Messenger, and that ye strive (your utmost) in the Cause of Allah, with your property and your persons: That will be best for you, if ye but knew! He will forgive you your sins, and admit you to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow, and to beautiful mansions in Gardens of Eternity."

Qur'an (3:151) - "Soon shall We cast terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers, for that they joined companions with Allah, for which He had sent no authority".

Qur'an (5:33) - "The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His messenger and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned; this shall be as a disgrace for them in this world, and in the hereafter they shall have a grievous chastisement"

nd religion should be only for Allah"

Qur'an (9:38-39) - "O ye who believe! what is the matter with you, that, when ye are asked to go forth in the cause of Allah, ye cling heavily to the earth? Do ye prefer the

life of this world to the Hereafter? But little is the comfort of this life, as compared with the Hereafter. Unless ye go forth, He will punish you with a grievous penalty, and put others in your place."

2. As for justifying that we can stop canning fornicators simply because we do not cut thieves's hands, is akin to saying that we can even murder innocent people and get away with it. Fornication is forbidden in Islam and it is forbidden in our Law. Both the Koran and the Maldivian Law imposes that the fornicator be canned.

3. As for your point about Zuhair saying that men and wwomen be canned equally: I have to say that the Sharia is equal to both men a nd women. Some men tell lies when the woemn accuse them of being party to the fornication.

This may save the men from the punishment of this world but that cannot prevent them from Allah's wrath and Justice in the hereafter.

I'm not afraid of anyone but Allah.

Who the hell is Anni or his little conniving helpers if they think they can belittle Allah and His Prophet and His Religion.

I do not have to write anything to bring down Anni and his government.

If Anni and Zuhair think that they can plan against Allah they have forgotten that more "intelligent and powerful" people did plan against Islam and the Prophet but ultimately Allah and His religion and His Prophet prevailed...and will continue to prevail.
